MOVE OVER STORE BAILEYS!

Updated: Jul 19, 2020

Hello, all my name is Megan and Monika asked me to jump in here and share my homemade Bailey's recipe.

I should preface that the recipe was handed down to me from my Mamma Liz, coming from a big Portuguese family, we always bring food to family parties, but my mom became known for the 2 D's...... drinks and desserts.

My mom was often the one bringing the homemade baileys and chocolate chip cheesecake (maybe another post).

This is so super simple, anyone can make it........, I may have been helping my mom make it at 9 years old...... she poured the rum in.

WARNING!!!!!

This recipe can be highly addicting to anyone who samples it!!! (proof my fiance made me make him a batch when he saw me making some for Monika and learned he didn't get any from that batch)

Recipe

1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 1/2 cups White Rum (250-375ml)

1 cup Table Cream (250ml) * a 1L cartoon will easily get you 2 batches of Baileys

3 Whole Eggs

1 Tbsp Chocolate Syrup (15ml)

1/2 Tsp Coconut or Almond Extract (2ml)

Steps:

Pour all ingredients in a blender, mix until smooth and creamy. Chill and serve.

This recipe is so simple once you have all the ingredients simply mix them all in a blender until smooth and creamy.

If you don't have a blender that's not a problem I personally use a large bowl and hand mixer, I have used an upright mixer and hand blender before.

As long as you can get the eggs, cream and condensed milk mixed together you are golden.

Don't worry about being 100% accurate with the measurements, I have added extra chocolate sauce and almond flavor........ blend the eggs, cream, and condensed milk together, blend until smooth and creamy.

Relax and enjoy it!

Make sure that you do store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a month...... if you can get it last a month. I store mine in those plastic wine pitchers from the dollar store, but I know Walmart sells a nice glass one if you're gifting it or want it to look fancy for your guests!

This recipe makes for a wonderful hostess gift any time of year or a nice way to relax by the fire in the summer or on a patio. I have also had it recommended for me to try it mixed into a

strawberry daiquiri instead of regular rum (on my list to try next)!
