Woof Woof!!!! It was time to give Pixie a bath! She was smelly and REALLY grimy from being outside so much these past few weeks!
I had tried a few shampoos for dogs and even used dawn dish liquid(the blue one) which worked AWESOME but I read that because its strips oils, using it often would affect the dogs skin, coat and overall health.
I saw posts again on facebook with people loving the pet line from scentsy! I figured since I needed shampoo i'll test it out!
In April, Scentsy offered a pet themed "Whiff Box" It was the cutest offering with a dog toy, shampoo, de-tangler, and de-oderizer! They also threw in a sample wax!
First of all the ball is AWESOME! It squeaks and Pixie was not able to destroy it!
So it was bath time, but this time I decided to try our walk in shower! Loved it so much Ill never put her in the tub again!
It was easy to control her more and somehow she didn't mind it as much!
This is after shampoo and her first rinse! I ended up shampooing her twice just to make sure I got deep down to the skin.
The shampoo is thicker and not so runny like others I've tried. A little goes along way with this one so the bottle will last me AT LEAST 6 months if not a year!
This is Pixie post bath and after a quick towel dry. If I haven't mentioned this towel yet then this is the norwex bath towel and OMG so absorbent and the most fabulous towel I have ever owned! As you can see it absorbed most of the water from her fur! I put her in this towel soaked.
I use the detangle spray on her coat at this point which helps make brushing a breeze. The oatmeal & aloe scent is so delicious!
**Tip if you bathe your dog and have a hard time brushing or blow drying afterwards because they run away, put them in your sink! I learned this tip in a dog group and I was SHOCKED at how it worked! Pixie didn't move out of the sink at all and I was able to blow dry and brush her!
Here she is post drying! Her fur is so silky and smooth! Unfortunately it made her bangs fall even more on her eyes, so she needs a trim!
I ended up using this de-tangler spray as a deodorizer more than the actual spray. I honestly do not like the peppermint smell of the deoderizer. They have other scents which I haven't tried but I would choose Oatmeal & Aloe!
If you love peppermint then this scent is for you!!
Overall, I am REALLY impressed with the pet line from Scentsy!
